Credits: Supervision by – Rudolf Ising Summary: A young Indian couple sing the praises of Crosby, Columbo, and Vallee, then help save baby birds from a fire. Description: An Indian tribe, performing a war dance, sings the title tune about the “paleface enemies” whose crooning have stolen their women’s hearts: Bing Crosby, Russ Columbo, and Rudy Vallee. Meanwhile, a young Indian brave is cheerfully canoeing down river, hopping off momentarily to bounce on some flowers. After riding through some rapids, the brave comes ashore near a teepee. He calls for his sweetheart –“Minniehahah!” — who comes out only after the brave displays his radio. They skip over to some rocks near a waterfall, where the young brave hands his sweetie a tree-turned-umbrella to protect her from the spray of the waterfall nearby. The brave uses a spider to provide electricity for his radio, and tunes to the melody of the title song. His sweetie begins singing, pausing to hear Bing Crosby’s “Many Happy Returns of the Day” [LT&MM] coming from the waterfall. The happy couple dance and finish the tune to the applause of the forest creatures. Next, a bear does his impression of Rudy Vallee’s “This Is My Love Song” [LT&MM], and also receives appreciative applause. The Indian couple then reprise the title tune, and begin dancing with a group of other native youngsters. The dancing is so infectious that the campfire soon begins to dance as well, complete with a group of little flames dancing around it. But the flames soon run off, setting one tree on fire and leaving it behind with only its underwear. They set another tree ablaze, leaving three baby birds in their nest crying “Help!”, “Fire!” and “Save Me!” in succession. The young brave hears them and rings a tulip to summon some bees, who proceed to grab a spider web and fly it towards the terrified birds. The flames burn the young brave’s bottom as he leads the bees towards the birds, but that doesn’t stop him. The web arrives and the birds leap onto it, but one flame runs under the web and burns the birds’ feathers off, leaving them bald. The brave spits the flame out, and smiles happily as we iris out.
