Summary:

Bosko & company enjoy a day at the beach.

Description:

Bosko is pushing his hot dog cart of dancing weenies (last seen in Ups ‘N Downs) along the beach, while an octopus and sea horses frolic by the shore and play merry-go-round. Bruno, who has been following behind Bosko, gets a nail caught in his paw. “Poor old Bruno!” says Bosko, as he comforts his dog. Bosko pulls the nail out, and the grateful dog gives his master a big lick in the face. Meanwhile, Honey and Wilber are skipping along the shore, though poor Wilbur keeps getting swept off his feet by the waves. Honey goes over to her beach umbrella and starts to play a ukulele, then shouts “Be careful, Wilber!” when the kitten runs off towards the water. Wilber tries to dip his feet into a puddle, but keeps being chased off by huge waves. Bosko pushes his cart behind Honey’s umbrella, then sees her shapely form in silhouette. “Hot Dog!” shouts Bosko. Honey hears him and tells him to wait a minute while she goes into a wooden changing room. From a clothesline she pulls in a skirt, panties, and a bra, but comes out in her usual topless attire. She and Bosko go over to a blanket and start singing “Ain’t We Got Fun”. Bruno interrupts their song, so Bosko throws a stick for Bruno to fetch. Bruno returns with a branch, which Bosko throws away. Bruno goes to fetch it and returns with a log, which Bosko also throws away. Bruno then returns with a whole tree, which he drops on the blanket, causing a jar of jam to fall onto Bosko’s head. Meanwhile, Wilber gets swept into the ocean by a wave and starts to cry out for help. Bosko hears him and dives right into a wave, but when the wave recedes Bosko is swimming on dry land. Bosko dives in again and starts his gravity-defying swim toward the drowning kitten. Every time Bosko gets close to Wilber, a wave swells up between them and pushes them apart. Back on the beach, Bruno finds an electric fan, ties it to his tail, then hops onto a log which floats out into the water. He turns the fan on and uses it as a propeller (what is plugged into??). Bruno reaches Bosko and Wilber, and they smile cheerfully as the cartoon irises out.
