Summary:

Bosko and Honey go on a picnic.

Description:

Bosko, fast asleep, doesn’t hear his telephone ringing. The phone becomes frustrated that Bosko won’t wake up, so it hits the alarm clock (which is also asleep) over the head, and tells it to wake up Bosko. The telephone tries ringing in Bosko’s ear, hitting his bedpan with a brush, and finally poking Bosko in the behind with it’s pointy minute-hand. Bosko finally gets up, yawns, and answers the phone. It’s Honey, and she wants to go out on a picnic. “I sho does love picnics!” he answers. Bosko jumps into his pants, goes outside, cranks up his car and drives off. Three little cars start following behind him, but Bosko orders them to go home. Bosko begins strumming his banjo, but when one of the strings breaks he replaces it with the tail of his mouse hood-ornament. The angry mouse pulls out another tail from his behind. When Bosko reaches Honey’s house another banjo string breaks, but this time the wise mouse pulls out his nose, retracting its tail, and storms off. Bosko honks his horn, and Honey appears on her balcony. Bosko extends his car up to the balcony, and Honey jumps in. Honey’s dog runs out of the house and starts following the car. When Bosko needs to get out to push the car up a hill, the dog starts grabbing Bosko by the pant leg, causing Bosko to get run over by the car. The dog then bites into one of the car’s tires, inflating himself like a balloon. Bosko squeezes the air out of the dog and back into the tire, then fixes the hole in the tire by tying it in a knot. “Let’s picnic there!” Bosko shouts, and he and Honey skip along a river to their picnic spot. Upon sitting on a log Bosko tickles Honey’s chin, then whispers something into her ear. Honey is offended, so Bosko wins back her affection by eating one of her sandwiches. “Mmmmm, dat sho is fine!” he says, rubbing his belly. Honey’s dog then pops out of a hole in the log and licks Honey’s behind. Honey smacks Bosko, thinking he was the culprit, and storms off. Bosko ends the film with “Awwww, nuts!”
