Summary:

Bosko and Honey go to the zoo.

Description:

Bosko and Honey are riding to the zoo on a bicycle, though Bosko’s bicycling skills leaving much to be desired. “Be careful, Bosko!” shouts Honey as Bosko hits rock after rock which propel her into the air. As they arrive at the zoo entrance Honey asks “Won’t this be fun, Bosko!”, but they are both startled by a lion’s roar. “C’mon Honey, that lion won’t hurt you” says Bosko, as he leads Honey into the zoo. As they approach the lion’s cage, the beast lunges towards them, causing the couple to flee with fright. “Bosko, ain’t that cute!” Honey says as they view two little fish playing leap-frog in an aquarium. Soon a huge fish swims by, growling at the couple and then at us! An octopus and its children come by next, but as Bosko and Honey watch them an ostrich snatches away Bosko’s hat. Bosko pursues the bird, finds some rope and lassos it by the neck. Bosko ties his end of the rope to a tree, but the ostrich yanks Bosko around the tree and into the air. Bosko lands on a porcupine, who angrily pulls his needles out of Bosko’s rear end. Bosko continues in pursuit of the bird, and even manages to grab it by the tail, but suddenly the ostrich swallows Bosko’s hat. Bosko then forces the bird to sit on a nest until it lays an egg, which Bosko cracks open revealing his hat inside. Bosko laughs at the bird and walks off, but the ostrich follows him and tries once again to grab the hat. “Beat it!” Bosko shouts, but then the bird begins to sob. Bosko soothes the beast by playing a cheerful tune on his flute, which the ostrich dances to, while beavers beat their tails and monkeys scratch each other to the beat. The monkeys begin to delouse themselves, and upon find a particularly large bug place it on a plate and grab some silverware! They begin to fight over their meal — one even stabs the other with a fork — but Bosko intervenes. “Uh-uh! Naughty, naughty!” he shouts, after which one of the monkeys yanks on his nose. Bosko puts the monkey over his knee and begins to spank its behind, but a huge ape appears and begins to chase Bosko through the zoo. Bosko then hits a tree limb, allowing the ape to catch up to him. Bosko tries to act nonchalant, but the little monkey kicks him in the kneecap, and the huge ape lets out a huge roar and chases Bosko again. Bosko manages to leap out of the cage and onto a vine, but that vine turns out to be a snake. Bosko then falls right onto the lion, who begins to chase after Bosko, the ostrich, and a walrus! Finally, the animals all crash into a wall, where they somehow meld into a hideous three-headed beast.
