Credits: Supervision by – Hugh Harman Summary: Bosko and Bruno’s adventures by the railroad tracks. Description: Bosko is strolling along the railroad tracks, whistling a happy tune, as Bruno sniffs the tracks and scratches for fleas. Bruno manages to get one flea to leap onto the end of his tail; where he flicks it off with his finger. A train approaches as Bosko and Bruno are walking along a bridge, so the duo run for the their lives. They come across a handcar, and try to use it to get further away from the fast-approaching train. A break in the bridge causes them to turn upside-down momentarily, and they fly off the hand car altogether after hitting a rock. Now on solid ground, they still run from the train (couldn’t they just step off the track at this point?), but Bruno’s foot gets stuck in the rails. After several failed attempts by Bosko to free his dog, the train hits Bruno dead on. After the train passes, Bosko sees no sign of Bruno, and begins sobbing. But Bruno, that sadistic little trickster, was hiding under a hatch in the tracks all along. Bosko is understandably angry as he throws a rock at his heartless pet. The duo move on through a tunnel, but soon hear the sounds of another train approaching. They manage to escape the tunnel in time to see that it was only a cow they had been running from. Then Bosko spots animal tracks on the ground, and shouts “Get ’em Bruno” as the dog follows the trail. It ends at a chicken coop, where Bosko shouts “Eggs, Bruno! Eggs!”, prompting the dog to try and capture one of the fowl. A chicken sees Bruno coming and starts to flee, beginning a chase that leads the poor fowl into a lawn mower, spraying his feathers all over the pursuing mutt. “Tarnation! I’ll get ye!” shouts the farmer as he arrives on the scene with his shotgun. He fires and Bosko and Bruno, but they manage to escape by leaping onto to a train passing underneath them. Unfortunately the car they jumped on breaks loose, beginning a roller-coaster ride that can’t be stopped. A cow somehow ends up in front of the runaway box car, and when the car finally crashes into a tree the cow is squashed into an accordion shape. Bosko and Bruno fall into the scene and give each other a look, as the cartoon abruptly ends. Notes:
